Take a brief moment to read it over and get a clear understanding of which tasks should be performed to get the most out of your on-road companion.
At 7,500 MilesWhen your Buick approaches the 7,500-mile mark on the odometer, there are a few services you’ll want to have completed. For starters, the engine oil level will need to be checked at this time. If it’s decided an oil change and a filter change are needed, the oil life system should also be reset. Changing the oil is an important action because its job is to make sure the various moving parts inside the engine are constantly lubricated, clean, and cool. Oil loses its effectiveness in performing these duties as it gets older. It’s also a good idea to have the tires rotated during this visit. Having this done on a regular basis promotes longevity by making sure normal wear and tear are evenly distributed across the surface of each tire. At 22,500 MilesKeep in mind that the passenger compartment air filter inside your Buick needs to be replaced once a year or every 22,500 miles. It’s important to remember that, if you see a lot of traffic on your commute or live in an area where there’s poor air quality, high dust levels, or environmental allergens, it might need to be switched out more frequently. At 45,000 Miles and 97,500 milesWhen your ride reaches 45,000 miles, it will be time to have the automatic transmission fluid changed. At 97,500 miles, be sure to replace the spark plugs as well as have all the spark plug wires and boots inspected to make sure every component is in proper working order. |
