Dear Mr. Penske: I am the owner of a motorhome with a Workhorse chassis and have had the privilege of having my vehicles serviced at your facility for recalls and general service. Since 2006, when I purchased my motorhome, I have had some issues with the motorhome and had been referred to your truck repair facility in Shillington. During this time I had occasion to call your service department when my wife and I were on the road in Maine and received valuable advice from your service department on how to rectify the problem and I was also directed to the nearest Workhorse repair shop, if needed. Most recently, we were in the western part of PA when we experienced a problem with our brakes. Since there is a current recall for the problem, I contacted the 800 number which was provided by Workhorse, to obtain assistance. This proved futile due to the fact that the nearest facility (1 ½ hours away from my location) said that they would not help me for at least 3 to 4 weeks. I contacted Workhorse again and they gave me another number to call that was over 2 hours away. No one was the least bit sympathetic to my plight while I was broken down on the side of the road. My next phone call was to your facility in Shillington. I was greeted very cordially by Lisa who immediately put me on the phone with John. While speaking with John, he listened to my problem, told me what to do and I was on my way to my destination in Mill Run, PA. John told me to check in with him at any time and also recommended that I visit your repair facility upon my return home. I did as John suggested and through the efforts and technical assistance of your fine staff, my problem was taken care of in a very prompt and professional manner. Due to the way I have been treated in dealing with Penske GMC Truck Service & Repair, I will highly recommend your facility and staff. They are indeed a credit to your organization.
