The 2022 Buick Encore GX has one standard engine across its trim levels. The ECOTEC 1.3L Turbo engine puts out 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The first trim level has a standard Continuous Variable Transmission. You can, however, opt for an available 9-speed automatic transmission.

The ECOTEC engine focuses on fuel economy, so you get the most out of your gas. With standard front-wheel drive, this engine achieves an EPA-estimated 29 city/32 highway MPG. If you prefer all-wheel drive, it’s also an option with the Encore GX, and it doesn’t change your fuel economy all that much.

To help you maintain control of the Encore GX, it has a standard feature called StabiliTrak® for icy, wet, or uneven roads. When the SUV senses a loss of traction, this feature steps in to help regain control.

When you choose an SUV, you want plenty of space for both cargo and passengers. The Encore GX has a total of 50.2 cubic feet of cargo space. With all five seats occupied, you’ll still get 23.5 cubic feet of cargo space to work with.

The Encore GX has two rows of seating with a comfortable amount of space in both. The Encore GX has 40.9 inches in the front and 36 inches in the back in terms of legroom. There is wiggle room, too, with 51.9 inches of hip room and 47.5 inches in the second row.

The Buick Encore GX has not only a good amount of space, but it also has comfortable seating and technology.

The Encore GX has available leather-trimmed seats with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. For those chilly winter days, the heated front seats keep you warm for the whole drive. Add the available heated steering wheel, and your hands stay warm, too!

To keep road noise out, the Buick Encore GX features Active Noise Cancellation with triple door seals, acoustic laminated windshield, and side windows to reduce road noise, so you can hear your music or passengers better.

There is also a standard infotainment system with an 8-inch color touchscreen. You can stream music and use your favorite smartphone apps via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Upgrades to the system include in-vehicle navigation, too.
